Traveling is not a new thing; people have been exploring the globe since ages…in search of the unknown, the unseen! What an adrenaline raising adventure, traveling was, back then! Though, in the current internet era, nothing is unseen anymore! Traveling still is fun and so are the reasons behind each travel!
Why People Travel?
- May be they have hell lot of money and they don’t know what to do with it!
- May be they have this dream job which lets them fly places!
- May be they are just bored of the routine life and looking for an escape!
- May be they need to show people that their life is exciting as well!
- May be they are trying to make a living out of it!
- May be or just may be, they want to see the better (or worse) parts of the world!
- May be they actually want to see and experience lives which are different from their own.
Why should You Travel In The First Place?
Whatever your reason for travelling is, you know that impressions of each and every moment spent out with the unfamiliar, are indelible. The experiences while travelling are invaluable. These could be good, bad, strange, or whatever these turn out to be; these experiences would always be new for you. If you don’t go out in to the unknown, how would you experience new things in life? And if you don’t experience new things, how would you stay motivated? Lack of newness can make life dull and make ‘something’ inside you, sleep. Don’t let that ‘something’ within sleep. Sometimes, it’s only during explorations that you come to know about a new side of yours which you were not even aware, existed! So, Travel…experience the unexperienced; not for anyone else but for YOU, yourself!
Travel and Me
We change with each travel. I haven’t traveled much but whatever I have seen, is enough to keep that ‘something’ within me awake. Travel has changed my view-point towards life and people. I am more accepting and less judgmental. At the same time, I am more confident and inquisitive!
Being a travel enthusiast, I mostly follow the people in the same niche. But there are some, whose traveling life, I follow very nearly, on Instagram, My morning starts with their stories from different parts of the world. I am in awe of their abilities to be able to live such extra-ordinary lives. Let me reveal who they are!
A travel V-logger, solo traveler and filmmaker. She has left her full-time job to pursue her passion of traveling and film making. The first video of her that I happened to watch was about Shillong. Since, I have been there once, out of curiosity, I watched the whole video and realized I missed the root bridge! (wasn’t good in planning 10 years back!) I like Tanya so much. I follow her every story. Above all, I love the way she tells her stories on her You-tube channel.
An economics graduate from Warwick University, Kamya is a digital nomad. She is unapologetically honest in her opinions. Initially, I was like what is this girl??? After watching her stories, I literally got addicted; these are extremely engaging, and I wait to see what is coming next. Even my daughter recognizes her voice and sometime seeing me busy on instastories, she passes her remarks like ‘Mom, KAMYA again!!!’ (Snow is all of 6 years)
I have seen some of EUROPE, and much of Thailand through her eyes. Now she keeps updating about life in Bali. Her amazing life appears unrealistic to people sitting in comforts of their houses but we know she is a real person living for months in places and experiencing the life on daily basis and sharing with us, as it is!
I accidentally bumped in to her account while she was posting about her Mount Everest base camp trek. Her posts on Instagram are a joy to watch and in the captions she pours her heart out…completely. Featured by CN Traveller India and Nat Geo, she is a NIM certified Mountaineer. Her wall looks so inspiring that I have started dreaming about Trekking to Mount Everest base camp, one day. (who knows?)
This account is run by an adorable and so-much-in-love couple Saumya and Vishu. They are tech people though Saumya probably have left her desk job and shifted completely to an office set in the open vistas of marvelous Nature and also in gorgeous properties hosting them very often. Based in Delhi, both of them are bitten deep by the travel bug. I immensely enjoy their Insta-stories, and they make it totally worth waiting. Road to taste is unique in a way that I also find it covering places, culture and cuisines at local level; there is a sense of belonging in their every post.
From the list, I have met only this inspiring lady. (Though, it is another thing, I knew of her endeavors only post meeting.) It was BNLF Dehradun, 2017. She is a veteran when it comes to writing. Having spent almost two decades in the world of journalism, she worked with country’s many big publications. Currently, I see her enjoying an awesome travel life along with freelancing for various newspapers and magazines. Basically, she is one big name, and is pretty ahead in the game (if it is the right word to use), ahead enough to inspire many beginners; the budding writers and travelers. I like her more because she cares to respond whenever she is approached.
This is all for now. These five travel bloggers and their Instagram stories make a good part of my exciting online life.
How many of you also follow them? Do let me know in comment section.
