I don’t remember when I last posted in my parenting category. Credit goes to the shifting focus towards reading more these days. 🤓📖
One thing that I, as a mother, have always been proud of, is that my daughter never touches my cellphone. I considered it my success, and boasted open-heartedly till one day, when I, myself handed it to her under the influence of my maternal hormones, just for the sake of seeing her giggling alongside.
There, she took it as my consent, and without my knowledge, took hold of my phone next day, and vanished from the scene. I came to know of her latest adventure only upon seeing my phone in the evening when it showed myriad unusual icons on the screen.
What is this? How did you…?
She took the phone from my hand, finger swapped and said,
Here! PLAYSTORE. she said with a twinkle in her eyes.💡
But how can you…? I still couldn’t believe she actually did that!
No…no..no! You did this today for the first and last time. It’s not happening again. Do you hear me! I said and deleted the junk.📲
Next evening, I saw everything back…
Snow! when did you do this???? I think I’ll have to lock my phone from now on.📱
Ok, ok, Mamma. Sorry. Cool down. You can delete everything but please, don’t delete the ‘Frozen’. I LOVE IT. Don’t you know?❄ she said with a pupy face.
(well, well…I WAS TALKING ABOUT GAMES. WHAT DID YOU THINK???? and FROZEN is an animated movie. 😝😝😝. It’s today only that I see a game as well.)
She continued, “Mamma! Can we play’em once before deleting.”🐰🎮
The cutie face worked.I opened all one by one and she, (we) 😋 played. These stupid games are so addicting, I tell you. I ended up decorating some silly ‘girly-house’ with her.👅
And what do I tell you about her ‘Frozen‘ love affair…💞
She can watch the movie whole day, any day, any number of times. She is crazy after Alsa, Aana, and Olaf.
She already owns a lot of Frozen stuff including her dreaming pal, her pillow, and wants the dress of Alsa soon.
One morning, she woke up, as if still in her dream, straightway looked for a pen and paper and without a word, pointed to the paper….Write!✍
What? I was clueless.🙃
The frozen Song! She said as if I was there too, in her dream.😮
I looked at her puzzled.😧
‘The-Let-It-Go’ Song ma!😠
Because I say so.😈
But I don’t know the lyrics!!!😨
Search on google then. She said authoritatively.😡
Okay. even if I do as you say, you won’t be able to read that. You are too little for those biggie words.👶
You’ll tell me. Now Do it!😬
SO, I did as she instructed, I wrote the whole length of the song, sung with her till she pronounced words like ‘crystallizes’!
It was the only thing we did that forenoon. 🤓🤓
Now, she sings it pretty loud, that, kind of, is sweet. 😍😍
SO yeah, today again, I, pretending-to-be-a-strict-mother, gave in and left an icon untouched with Alsa and Anna on my screen.
She begged to play it once.
Snow! I said while handing her the phone.📱
Hmmm. She said without looking.
Can I ask you a question?
Yes Mamma. Again busy hitting the target.
You love me no?💟
Can you live without me?💭
Thank God. As expected.
If you have to choose one!!!🦁
Tell me darling. Can’t you live without Frozen?🐋
She didn’t say anything. Just looked up…helplessly. 😯😯
Such a “Frozen” freak my daughter is, but wasn’t it ‘I’, in the first place, who nodded to the nick name ‘Snow’!!!!
What else is poor Snow supposed to love if not to Freeze!!!!⛄
Anyway, I love her, irrespective of her obsession for ‘Frozen‘ right now, and I am also gifting her, her love…The Frozen Storybook collection.
I just hope if such a situation arises in future, when she would have to pick one out of her mother and her love, I would be ready for the answer.🌠
*Learning while XperiMANNting…to be better at motherthing. 😊
